Sales Support Steel (South American Market) Full Time

The company:

My client is a leading distributor of chemicals across emerging markets and actively trades several other commodities.

The job:

• Based at our head office in Antwerp you will first receive an intense introduction in file administration on operational, documentary and financial level.
• You will gradually become responsible for the commercial support to the trading team of Steel South America: you will handle requests, draw up offers and follow-up quotations till closing the deal.
• You monitor recurrent business and assist the traders in the further strategic expansion of their markets.
• Besides the commercial support you will be involved in reporting and in the follow-up of the incoming payments of the markets you commercially support.
• The deals you close will be further handled by others, but you supervise the file process from a sales perspective and you cooperate with your colleague file administrators in order to solve problems smoothly.
• A senior trader to whom you are reporting monitors your commercial support.

Your qualities:

• You aspire a supporting sales function and your ambition is to set up a solid commercial back office.
• You are a communicative and organized individual with a talent for administration and problem-solving, even under time pressure. Colleagues appreciate your sense of initiative and teamwork and you definitively have a commercial mindset.
• You seek to build out a durable career within one company and are no job-hopper.
• Of course you are fluent in English and Spanish. Knowledge of Portuguese and Dutch is a plus.
• You possess an economic or logistic degree preferably.
